SOAP/WCF PMS import · Properties & units, read-only
Oscar (Software Answers) is a corporate-housing property-management platform. This adapter talks to a customer-hosted Oscar Client API WCF service over SOAP and imports its properties and units into Runy.
Authentication is licence-based: an XML licence exported from Oscar supplies a client-level ClientApiKey plus one API key per licensed method, and both ride in a Request envelope on every call. There is no user, password or session. Because each Oscar deployment belongs to one customer, the endpoint and licence are configured per organization rather than per deployment.
This adapter is read-only. Oscar installations are live production systems and the licence typically grants write methods too, so the client refuses any operation that is not a read.
Oscar properties become Runy buildings. A property carries no street address of its own, so its location is taken from the unit definitions beneath it.
Oscar units become Runy units attached to their building. GetUnit returns the unit with its UnitDefinition nested inside, which supplies the address and the owning property in a single call.
GetPropertyIDsBySearch takes a created/changed date window, so each run only revisits what moved since the last cursor. The full backfill uses a wide window rather than the all-properties dump, which is a single ~79 MB response.
Endpoint URL and licence XML are stored per organization in installation_configs and supplied through /connect/oscar. Outbound calls to Runy use OSCAR_RUNY_CLIENT_ID and OSCAR_RUNY_CLIENT_SECRET.
